McKinney's couch calls split cleanly along the same line as the rest of the city: an old, heavy piece coming out of a historic-district house near the square, or a newer sectional coming out of a Stonebridge Ranch or Craig Ranch move. Both get the same careful carry, just a different route to the trailer.
What a couch removal pickup actually involves
A couch that has been in a historic-downtown McKinney house for decades is often a heavier, older frame than what comes out of a newer build, and the stairwells and doorways in those early-1900s homes were not cut for modern sectional sizes. We measure the path before we start lifting rather than finding out mid-carry, and a sleeper sofa or a wraparound sectional comes apart at the frame or the connector brackets so it clears a narrow doorway in pieces instead of getting stuck. On the west side, the couches are newer and the moves more frequent, and the same disassembly service applies without the extra care an older frame needs.
What makes McKinney different
The historic neighborhoods around the McKinney square have narrow streets, mature low-hanging trees, and some alley-only access, so the crew works from whichever side actually gets a couch to the trailer without scraping paint off a fence. West of downtown, in Stonebridge Ranch and Craig Ranch, the streets are wider but the HOA rules on curbside timing are stricter, so we plan the visit to load and leave rather than stage anything at the curb ahead of time.
