Mattress Removal, Carrollton
Most Carrollton mattress calls are about timing: a new mattress is on its way and the old one has to be out of the bedroom first, or a house is being cleared ahead of a move and the beds are the last big pieces left. We carry the mattress, box spring and frame out as one pickup.
What a mattress removal pickup actually involves
A mattress is awkward rather than heavy. A queen or king bends on a tight stair turn, and a thick pillow-top or a hybrid with a coil core weighs more than it looks, so the crew carries it rather than sliding it down the stairs. Box springs are rigid and go out flat. Bed frames come apart at the rails and the headboard, and adjustable bases, which have motors and wiring, are unplugged and carried as their own piece. Texas has no statewide mattress recycling program, so a mattress that cannot be donated is separated for its steel coils and foam where a processor accepts it, rather than going straight to a landfill by default.

A two-story house means a stairwell to plan for, and some older blocks are alley collection, which can put the trailer closer to a back door than the street.
